How has the stamp duty holiday affected property in Birmingham?
There is good news for buyers, estate agents, property investors and developers
Residential property in Birmingham and the West Midlands has been given a useful boost to aid its economic recovery from the coronavirus.
The West Midland Combined Authority had requested from central government for the chance to spend an estimated £1.3 billion on residential and commercial property development in the local region over the next three years. The proposed spending plan by the West Midlands Combined Authority places affordable housing, sustainable property developments and a bid to increase the energy efficiency of current homes at the heart of its motive.
While this proposed development and similar counterparts are promising in supporting a successful recovery in the city and wider West Midlands area, it will be intriguing to see how the property market in the local area will react to the latest stamp duty holiday.
